Snail of the Dead

It is Halloween night, and a group of zombie snails are using a pumpkin to lure out healthy snails so they can infect them. When the pumpkin is stolen, the zombie snails must embark on an epic journey to recover it. This stop-frame animated short was animated by myself over the course of a week. The main body of the snails were made out of plasticine and the shells were made out of milliput. The set was made out of a combination of polystyrene blocks and boards, cardboard boxes, papier mâché, modroc and dirt/sand. The project was captured using a Canon 700D and Dragonframe 3.0 for Mac and then assembled and colour/brightness corrected in Premiere CC 2014, with additional composited elements created in Photoshop CC 2014.
