Best Animation Programs in Tennessee

Written by Michelle Burton. Last updated February 01, 2018.

What sets the best animation schools apart from the rest? Is it popularity? Excellent job placement services? Superior production facilities? Cost? Well, it depends. College ranking organizations such as Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report may place several factors high on the list from faculty resources to program offerings. On the other side, students, alums, and others may consider cost and convenience first.

To determine which schools deserve to be called “the best,” college ranking agencies consider (1) number of program offerings, (2) graduation and retention rates, peer assessment, (3) faculty resources (student-teacher ratio), (4) financial resources, and (5) student selectivity. In addition to cost and convenience, students consider the types of social clubs, recreation, production facilities, dorm living, and even Greek Life to determine which schools are the best. Fortunately, the best animation school programs in Tennessee scored high in all areas from graduation and retention rates to Greek Life!

The State of Tennessee is home to 109 colleges and universities. The Volunteer State has one of the nation’s largest number of colleges, with more than 330,000 students attending, and more than 8,600 students enrolled in the state’s top art and design schools alone. Just a few of Tennessee’s best animation school programs include O’More College of Design (Franklin) and Memphis College of Art (MCA).

Take a look at the list below to learn more about the best animation school programs in Tennessee and what they have to offer.
