Oregon is home to 60 Title IV degree-granting institutions. These schools have met five strict requirements established by the U.S. Department of Education. Because they have met these requirements, Oregon’s 60 Title IV schools are eligible for federal financial aid programs. Earning Title IV status isn’t easy. To earn this coveted status, the school must
(1) have accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, (2) grant an associate's degree or higher, (3) offer a program of at least 300 clock hours in length, (4) be in business for at least 2 years, and (5) sign a participation agreement with the Department. Oregon’s best schools for aspiring graphic designers have these things in common along with several other benefits that place them at the top of the list.
Oregon’s best schools for graphic designers and other artists offer a wide variety of financial aid programs (both private and federal), they have excellent graduation and retention rates, class sizes are comfortable, and they offer a large collection of academic and social programs. Organizations such as Forbes, Princeton Review, and U.S. News & World Report use these factors (and others) to determine which programs and schools belong on the “best schools list” each year.
