Scope of Program:
The Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University offers students the opportunity to study and create in the state-of-the-art Marion Knott Studios. Digital Arts students take courses in graphics, storytelling, color theory and 3D computer graphics. Animation Emphasis students add coursework in digital storytelling, character animation and character design, while Visual Effects Emphasis students focus on digital illustration, product and character design and 2D computer graphics. Graphic Design students concentrate on illustration, typography, packaging, advertising design and book design. A junior year group show, senior internship and portfolio review round out the experience. Studio Art: New Genres students study video art, digital photography, drawing, design and digital media. Junior and senior exhibitions are required.
