Scope of Program:
Graphics students at Eastern Oregon University complete foundation coursework in visual literacy, drawing, design, color and art history. All students must pass a program admissions review in the second half of their sophomore year to continue in the program. Students continue with courses in professional practices, studio art, digital design, typography and illustration. All students participate in junior and senior seminars and create a capstone exhibition.
Computer Science students at Eastern Oregon University who choose the Multimedia concentration focus on software development, multimedia programming, discrete mathematics, data structures, web authoring, visual literacy, graphics, multimedia design and user interface design. All students participate in a seminar and complete a capstone project.
Media Arts students who select the Digital Media concentration take courses in visual literacy, photography, design, web development, graphics and applications, film making, interactive web development, electronic modeling, 2D animation, videography, digital video production, digital media and art history. All students participate in a seminar, complete a practicum and create a capstone project.
All B. A. candidates at Eastern Oregon University must take two years of a foreign language. Art, merit and need-based scholarships are available. Residents of Oregon, Idaho and Washington are eligible for in-state tuition rates.
