
Degrees Offered: Gnomon School of Visual Effects is not a college in a traditional sense, so no degrees are offered. Instead, Gnomon offers one-, two- and three-year Certificate Programs in Entertainment Design, Digital Production for Entertainment and Entertainment Design for Digital Production.
Tuition Information: Entertainment Design, $3,500 per term for four terms, or $14,000 for the one-year program. Digital Production for Entertainment, $8,000 per term for eight terms, or $64,000 for the two-year program. Entertainment Design and Digital Production, $3,500 per term for terms one through four, then $8,000 per term for terms five through 12, for a total of $78,000. Fees (which may be several thousand dollars over the course of a program) are not included in these figures.

Scope of Program:
Gnomon School of Visual Effects offers a nontraditional but highly-regarded approach to studies in visual effects and digital production. Many incoming students have already earned B. A. or B. F. A. degrees from other institutions. Students in the one-year Certificate Program in Entertainment Design study Photoshop, drawing, game production and visual effects, art history, graphic design, character sculpture, zoological design and creature, environment and vehicle design. Digital Production for Entertainment students specialize in film, broadcast or games, with tracks in Modeling and Texturing, Character Animation, Visual Effects Animation and 3D Generalist. The Entertainment Design and Digital Production program includes similar emphases and tracks.
Gnomon School of Visual Effects accepts the FAFSA and awards financial aid for only one Certificate Program, the two-year Digital Production for Entertainment program. Students applying to the Entertainment Design program are encouraged to submit samples of their artwork along with the application. An application portfolio is required for the three-year Entertainment Design and Digital Production Certificate Program.
